A number of users have asked me how to run Silverlight apps on Linux? The answer is using MoonLight.
MoonLight is an open source implementation of Microsoft Silverlight for Linux and Unix based systems, provided by Novell in collaboration with Microsoft. This framework integrates animations, multimedia, graphics and interactivity into a single runtime environment. The Moonlight project aims at running a Silverlight application without the need to recompile that application.
You can download Moonlight here. As of this writing, the last released version of Moonlight was Moonlight 3.0 Preview 8.
